InCCA Conference Presentation Information
Corn Fungicides: Advanced Topics
Interest in the use of fungicides in corn production has grown in recent years. Making the best use of these products is complex. The presentation will cover the following topics as they relate to fungicide use: disease biology and epidemiology, fungicide mode of action, application timing with respect to crop development, effects on yield and standability, and action thresholds. Ultimately, making a fungicide application is a judgment call, but having a deeper understanding of fungicides and corn diseases will help producers make the most thoughtful and reasoned decisions possible.
