Ms. Tammy Lawson
BIO: Tammy Lawson is the Assistant Director, Conservation Programs for the Indiana State Department of Agriculture. Prior to joining ISDA, she was the Chair of the USDA-Farm Service Agency Indiana State Committee. In her current role, Tammy serves as the director of ISDA’s Division of Soil Conservation. Tammy has strong ties to many in Indiana agriculture having worked with several federal and state agencies such as the Natural Resource Conservation Service, Indiana Department of Environmental Management, Indiana State Fair, Purdue University’s Agricultural Communication Service, Indiana Soybean Growers Association and Countrymark Cooperative. Tammy grew up on a small farm in Madison County. She currently lives in Boone County where she and her family produce row crops, alfalfa and beef cattle. Tammy received her bachelor’s degree from Purdue University in agricultural economics. Tammy and her husband Donnie are the parents of two children Kay Leigh and Clayton.
