BIO: Kevin Leigh Smith is an editor and writer for the Purdue University Department of Agricultural Communication, where he consults with a variety of Purdue Agriculture and Purdue Extension clients to create an array of educational, informational, and promotional materials. His work includes Web-only publications, the Corn & Soybean Field Guide, museum exhibits, and just about everything in between. Smith also teaches a publishing course for juniors and seniors majoring in agricultural communication. Prior to joining Purdue, Smith was a copy editor and reporter at the Journal and Courier newspaper in Lafayette, Indiana. He also taught English composition courses at Purdue, Colorado State University, and Ivy Tech State College. He worked on his doctorate at Purdue, earned a master’s degree from Colorado State, and earned a bachelor’s degree from Purdue.
