BIO: Liz Maynard is an Extension Specialist in the Dept. of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture at Purdue University. She is based in Valparaiso at the Purdue North Central Porter County Campus. She spends most of her time developing educational programs and conducting applied research in vegetable production. She also works closely with the NW Indiana Floriculture Association. Research on pumpkins has included variety evaluation, irrigation, planting date, reduced tillage production systems, and weed management.
