Indiana CCA Newsletter October, 2000
Indiana CCA Convention.
Mark November 29, 2000 for the first annual Indiana CCA convention.
Information about the program and registration is enclosed. This will be
an excellent opportunity to interact with your fellow CCAs, and learn how
being a CCA can contribute to your business and your career. You can also
pick up 7 CEUs toward your continuing education requirements. I think you
will agree that we have planned an outstanding program for the very
reasonable cost of $50.
The convention is being held at the Marten House Hotel, 1801 West 86th Street, Indianapolis, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. on November 29th. For those of you needing a room, we have secured a room rate of $79 plus tax for CCA members. The cut off date for this rate is October 29. Their phone number is (317) 415-5210. Be sure to tell them you are with the Indiana CCA.

Steve Dlugosz running for International Board.
Steve Dlugosz, Indiana Board Member and past Chairman, is running for
the International CCA Board as a representative from the Midwest Region. I
encourage you to return your CCA ballot and recommend Steve for this
position. He has a tremendous amount of history and experience with the
CCA programs, and would be an excellent representative for our region.
Past President Bush at Farm Progress Show.
Former President George Bush was a guest speaker at the recent Farm
Progress Show in Illinois. While touring the grounds he spent 15 minutes
visiting with Dr. Harold Reetz, of the Potash and Phosphate Institute, and
also an Indiana CCA Board member. Harold's booth had a lot of high tech
satellite technology tools, and Bush's comment was, "we were working
on this when I was head of the CIA". Harold is one of our speakers at
the Indiana CCA convention, and I'm sure he will have an excellent
message. Maybe he'll share his experiences visiting with President Bush.
