Updates on Sulfur and Potassium Fertilization
I will discuss recent research results showing multi-season benefits of single-season sulfur applications and discuss the potential of sulfur from phosphorus fertilizers in satisfying crop sulfur needs. I will also discuss recent findings related to corn and soybean response to potassium fertilization of low soil test potassium soils and how the optimum potassium rate for profit compares to historical recommendations to build-up and maintain soils at the critical level.

Biography
Dr. Camberato is an Extension soil fertility specialist in the Agronomy Department at Purdue University. In general his research and Extension programs center on soil fertility, fertilizers, and plant nutrition. Specific emphasis has been on determining appropriate rates of N fertilization for corn and evaluating tools for fine-tuning N recommendations.
